Same site, new name

X was Twitter until 2023 — the domain, the posts, and the video files didn't change, just the branding. Some links you'll see still say twitter.com, others say x.com; both point at the same servers and both work here without any conversion step.

What's actually being downloaded is whatever MP4 (or set of MP4 qualities) X's own player already uses. Nothing is re-encoded or watermarked on the way out.

FAQ

Is this for X or for Twitter?
Both — they're the same platform. Links from x.com and twitter.com (and the old t.co short links) all work identically here.
Does it work on X Spaces or just posts?
It reads public post videos and live broadcast replays. Audio-only Spaces don't have a video file to extract.
Do I need an X account?
No. Only public posts can be read at all — a private or protected account's videos aren't accessible without logging in as a follower, and this tool doesn't log in as anyone.
