Notable changes to TwitterDownloaderX, newest first. Small fixes are grouped. Dates come from the project's commit history.

October 14, 2026: Guides hub and content clean-up

Launched /guides with 12 long-form guides (backups, the X data archive, fair use, video formats, compression, ffmpeg GIFs, iPhone Files vs Photos and more), each with an author box and publish/update dates.
Merged near-duplicate keyword pages into the homepage and the GIF page with permanent redirects, and kept Arabic and French pages out of search until they have full original copy.
Expanded the About and Contact pages, added a Responsible use page, and limited ads to content pages instead of the download tool.

Added pages for common problems: downloader not working, video with no sound, downloaded video won't play, and private videos.
The link box now sits first on the page, and failed lookups are classified (private, not found, upstream error) so problems can be fixed faster.

MP3 download: the soundtrack is converted in your own browser, so the audio never passes through a conversion server.
Added a dedicated Twitter photo downloader page for original-size images.
Mobile performance work cut the largest-content paint time sharply (Lighthouse mobile score went from 33 to 81 in our test).
Added ads.txt and retitled pages to match what people actually search for.

Added localized how-to pages for iPhone, Android, PC, HD, GIFs, live replays and MP3.

Published About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms and DMCA pages.
Fixed internal linking and redirected www to the main domain to avoid duplicate pages.
Added the logo and an llms.txt summary for AI crawlers.

TwitterDownloaderX went live: paste a public X or Twitter link and save the video, GIF or photo as a file, with no account and no watermark.
Live broadcasts can be watched while running and saved as MP4 once the replay exists. A fix the same day stopped live timestamps from breaking downloaded replays.

Visual redesign in the style of X itself.
