Privacy Policy

The short version

No account, no sign-in, nothing stored on our servers after your request is served. Your download history lives only in your own browser (localStorage), never sent to us. We use Google Analytics to see aggregate usage and Google AdSense to show ads — both set their own cookies, described below.

What we process, and for how long

When you paste a link and extract a post, the URL you submit and the resulting media URLs are processed in memory to serve your request — fetched from X's own servers, streamed back to you, and not written to a database or disk on our side. Downloads are proxied the same way: we don't keep a copy of the file you downloaded.

The "Recent" list on the homepage is stored only in your browser's localStorage. It never reaches our servers and clears when you clear your browser data or press "Clear" in the app.

Cookies and third-party services

• Google Analytics — aggregate usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense — shows ads, may use cookies for ad personalization. Manage or opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
• Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider; sets essential cookies for security and performance (bot mitigation, load balancing). See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Public posts only

TwitterDownloaderX only reads media from posts that are already public on X — the same content anyone could view without an account. It cannot and does not access private or protected accounts.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your requests

Since we don't hold accounts or stored personal data server-side, most access/deletion requests have nothing to act on beyond your own browser's storage. For anything else, or general privacy questions, email contact@twitterdownloaderx.com.
