Use case · multi-media & quote posts
Several videos in one X post
A single X post can carry up to four media items: videos, GIFs and photos mixed. A quote post can also show someone else's video. We list every one of them separately, each with its own quality buttons.

In short
- Items per post
- Up to 4 attached media items
- Quoted media
- Listed too, marked with a “Quote” badge, when the quoted post is public
- Buttons
- Each item has its own qualities and MP3 option
- Download all at once
- No: click each item's button
Step by step
- Copy the post link. Use the post that contains the media (or the quote post).
- Extract. The result card shows one block per media item, in the order X lists them.
- Check the badges. Video, GIF, Photo and Quote badges tell you what each item is.
- Save each item. Click a quality under each item you want; they download as separate files.
How files are named
Every file name starts with the account and post ID of the post you pasted, then the quality, for example user_1234567890_720p.mp4. When a post holds two videos at the same quality, your browser adds a (1) to the second file so nothing is overwritten.
Quote posts
If the post you paste quotes another post that has a video, we include that video too and mark it “Quote”. That's handy when someone adds commentary on a clip. If the quoted post is from a protected account, its media is not included.
If you only want the quoted clip, you can also open the quoted post itself and paste its link.
Mixed photo and video posts
Photos come at original size (name=orig); videos come with all MP4 renditions. A mixed post simply shows both kinds of blocks.
Working through a post with four items
X allows up to four media items per post. The result card lists them in the order they appear in the post, and each video item has its own set of quality buttons. Save them one after another; the browser keeps every download, so you don't have to wait for the first to finish before starting the next.
On a phone, it is easier to choose the same quality for every item so the files sit together when sorted by name. On iPhone, save all of them first, then open the Downloads folder in Files, tap Select, pick the videos and use Share › Save Videos to move them to Photos in one go.
If one item shows no buttons while the others do, that item is a photo (it has an image button instead) or a GIF, which usually has a single rendition.
Downloads from the same post never overwrite each other: file names differ by quality, and when two items share a quality your browser numbers the second copy.
On desktop you can click every quality button in quick succession; the browser queues the transfers and shows each one in its download list.
