The honest answer, and the legitimate options
Short answer: no. Posts from protected accounts are only visible to approved followers, and a downloader that reads public pages can’t see them.
Download only content you own or have permission to use. Public posts only; we store no videos. Responsible use
No extension and no login. Copy a public X link, paste it above, then save the MP4 X already encoded.
Open the tweet or live. Tap Share (or the three dots), then Copy link. Extra bits like ?s=20 are fine — we read the post id.

Drop the URL in the field on this page and press Extract. Public videos, GIFs, photos and lives are read the same way.
Choose 1080p, 720p or a lighter MP4. Or save just the soundtrack as MP3. Lives can be watched first; replay buttons appear when they end.
If Extract finds nothing, the post is private, deleted, or not public media. Open the same link logged out on X to check.
Why it’s not possible here. A protected account’s posts require a logged-in, approved follower to view. This tool never logs in as anyone and only reads media that’s public — which is also why it can’t see deleted posts. Tools that claim to bypass this either don’t work or ask for your X login, which you should never give.
If the video is yours. Request your data archive from X (Settings → Your account → Download an archive of your data). It includes the media you’ve posted, as original files.
If it’s someone else’s. Ask them to send you the file or to make the post public. Recording your screen is a technical option, but the copyright and the privacy expectations of a private account still apply — only do it with their permission.
If the post was public but is now deleted. Deleted posts can’t be fetched. If you saved the link earlier, a web archive might hold a copy of the page, but not the video file.

Watch while it is live, then save the replay.
No sign-in. History stays on this device.
No. It would mean logging in as someone else’s follower, which is against X’s rules and a privacy risk for you.
Saving a file for personal use is generally low risk, but copyright still belongs to the creator. Don’t republish others’ videos without permission — see the copyright policy.
You may be logged in as an approved follower or have sensitive-media viewing enabled. The tool sees only what a logged-out visitor sees.
